NO BAD DECISIONS
Yesterday we talked about giving yourself permission to simply decide you want to exercise. I’ve posted comments about simply making a decision to change a behaviour in an online group or two, and sometimes there are grumbling complaints, sometimes quite rude complaints.
- “As if, why didn’t I think of that?”
- “Yeah, if it’s so easy then why doesn’t everyone do it ?”
I tend not to engage is such discussions, because people can believe what ever they want – even when their thoughts don’t help them do whatever it is they are trying to do. Go ahead. Let yourself be miserable, it’s your choice. But why would you choose that?
I choose to believe I never make a bad decision. I always make the best possible decision based on the information I have at the time; the best decision I believe will move me in the direction I want to go. I may make a decision that doesn’t work out the way I hoped it would, but second guessing my decision is not helpful.
I don’t second guess, I make a new decision based on new information that is available now.
So freeing right?
There are no bad decisions. Make a decision. Gather information. See what happens. If necessary, make a new decision. No second guessing required.
